Mohamad Damshal Awang Damit
Mohamad Damshal Awang Damit joined Lembaga Tabung Haji in January 2020. Currently, he is the Executive Director of Investment, responsible for managing the company’s investment portfolio.
He has held senior roles in investment management companies. From 2016 to 2020, he held investment management roles in Social Security Organisation (SOCSO), Malaysia. He was the partner and CEO at Azimuth Global Partner just before SOCSO. He headed private equity department at Felda Investment Corporation in 2015. At ACA Amanie (an associate of Sumitomo), he spearheaded it as CEO from 2012 until 2015. He was a managing director of Amundi Asset Management (previously known as Credit Agricole Asset Management) from 2009 until 2012 where he managed global Islamic fund management and business development.
He has been involved in several professional engagements, including with Malaysian Accounting Standards Boards, working groups in Securities Commission (SC) and Malaysian Islamic Financial Centre (MIFC), as well as being appointed as academic advisor to several educational institutions.
He holds an MBA from the University of Toledo , Ohio , United States. He also holds a bachelor of arts degree in accounting and management science from the University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom.
