Hajjah Rohani Datuk Mohd Shahir
Hajjah Rohani is the Founder and Principal Consultant of HIJRAH Wealth Management Sdn Bhd, Chairman of Khadijah International Waqf(L) Foundation, and life member of Association of Bumiputera Women in Business (Peniagawati). 1981 saw her graduating from Sydney University Australia in Bachelor of Economics. She started her career as Manager with a commercial bank, Sabah Bank Berhad, followed by Accounting and Financial Controller with American Express Sdn Bhd. From there she joined Abrar Group, an Islamic Financial conglomerate, and moved up to the post of Managing Director. She became a shareholder in a unit trust management company known as Hijrah Unit Trust Management Bhd and launched Malaysia’s first syariah-compliant women unit trust scheme named ASNITA which amassed fudsize of USD40M from 81,000 unitholders.. Rohani has authored 6 personal money management books and became a local media celebrity in the field of personal finance. Her expertise led to appointment as editorial team with the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) to conduct financial literacy campaigns in newspapers, television and radio. Other befitting appointments are as Board of Management for National Higher Education Fund, Chairman of Investment Technical Committee for Selangor Islamic Religious Council, and Vice President of Muslim Women Council of Malaysia (MAYA/YADIM).
